What does the experience of being human offer us and how can we 'human' sustainably given that we are part of an entire ecosystem?

How does our human capacity for storytelling, creativity and our inherent curiosity influence how we make decisions and what role does the view we have of ourselves in this ecosystem play when it comes to relating to our environment? What does it mean to relate sustainably to our environment including ourselves, each other and the spaces we inhabit?
